I have always loved art as an expressive means of an inner dimension that interprets reality on the basis of emotions, sensations, intuitions, which first of all investigate myself beside the surrounding world. The climax of this process then occurs when people enjoy the work of art, because they can add personal meanings to what they are experiencing while observing, again on the basis of their own emotions and personal experiences. A talented painter and dear friend of mine, once told me the story of when he was asked if he didn't feel a part of himself fading once he had sold a work and therefore having to detach from it. He replied that lack is each time filled by a little piece of himself that doesn't disappear, but will populate people's homes and lives. For me this also means making art: creating magical bonds that overcome barriers and borders, in a world so in need of authentic connections.

Born in Monza in 1984, Viviana Avellino trained at the Giussano Art Institute refining various plastic and pictorial techniques, later deciding to continue her studies as an self-taught in order to be able to express herself in total freedom. Fascinated by the versatility and expressive potential of the human body, she dedicates herself to the creation of sculptures using different materials, including terracotta or dried clay and glazed acrylic which transfigure the human figure, at the same time enhancing its harmony and powerful emotional tension. In painting, the artist masters a multiplicity of pictorial and graphic techniques, acrylic and watercolor to mention a few, creating suggestions capable of transmitting a calm and silent inner dimension together with a kaleidoscope of dynamic emotions, where color is the undisputed protagonist.
